Fine coffee is the backbone of a work day for millions upon millions of people, but few grasp the breadth and complexity of the story behind each cup. Miko’s Barista Training strives to make each novice intimately familiar with these stories – from farm to bean to cup. We believe that the best coffee is produced by people who appreciate its complexities. Our training is comprehensive, covering all aspects of quality coffee production. It includes equipment maintenance and cleaning, grinder settings and most importantly, coffee presentation.

A barista’s role is an exacting skill, one that requires rehearsal and precision timing. Customers with a finely tuned taste for high quality coffee will notice a dip in excellence and not waver in rebuffing the cup, nor will they hesitate to seek another coffee provider. Coffee is a competitive business. Customer loyalty is key. Our training will ensure that a barista’s ability to please a customer will become an undeviating skill.

The customer service experience is vitally important to Miko Coffee, and something we pride ourselves in. We aim to remove all hurdles in the road for our clients, so that they can run their coffee businesses effortlessly, efficiently and fruitfully.

To that end, we assign clients a dedicated, office-based customer service representative. Just a phone call or quick email away, he or she will be on hand to deal with any day-to-day accounts, products and delivery-related enquiries, and make regular calls to your store managers to take coffee orders. A regional account manager will look after your in-the-field queries and carry out site visits. Our marketing team will be available for any coffee branding and marketing enquiries. Our technical service team will arrange services on all equipment, carry out ad-hoc repairs and deal with any problems and issues as they arise.

Our after-sales services are therefore integral and equally as important as our products and training programmes.

Quick, efficient technical assistance at the hands of experts is not a luxury for Miko’s clients. It comes as standard. Miko technicians undergo a rigorous selection process and are factory trained at our international, state-of-the-art facilities. You can be assured that you are in safe and experienced hands. Our technicians are equipped to deal with any problem that might arise with your equipment, and offer comprehensive support for your business.

In an age where technology sprints with the oomph of an Olympic runner – changing, advancing, revolutionising every day – we recognise that our technicians’ training must keep up with it. As such, we make sure that training is ongoing and that our technicians are kept fully up-to-date with all systems and processes. We are determined to fix your machine the first time, every time.

An essential part of the technical services we offer is preventative maintenance. Our technicians make routine ‘house calls’ to our clients’ premises, replacing consumable parts, auditing the machines for functioning and replacing water softeners if required.

We also know that our clients’ needs differ. We therefore offer a variety of service packages. Miko’s technical division services many leading brands, including Faema, Cimbali, Brewmatic, Stentorfield, Rheavendors and Bravilor.
